Blessing of the boats 1/04/18

Christine
Hi all,
It's the Blessing of the boats time this Sunday, which is Easter Sunday.  We will meet at 11am, to remove covers and put flags and ribbons on the boats, thy will stay in the boat yard.  Gladys can be brought off her mooring and left in the water. Les and Ann Plater are coordinating this. There maybe a gig from the Gig club arrive too.
At 12 noon the boats will be blessed, this usually takes 10-15 minutes and is accompanied by a hymn and prayers for safety.
Then we will go rowing.

There will also be a CAKE sale to raise money for the 'Melon Charity' we are supporting this year. If you are able to BRING a cake or buns or Easter eggs or alternative edible items, to donate that would be much appreciated (can be shop bought or home made).  You can bring them on the day or deliver to Bobby or me before hand.

The weather looks promising, so bring your family and friends to join in either tea and cake consuming or to try a row.  Let the Spring rowing fun begin.

Thank you Christine ( any comments post below)
