Having checked a couple of weather forcasts for this afternoon, we are expecting mean wind speed of 20MPH South Westerley with gusts beyoned that. Wheras we would fly over to Emsworth, the return row will be extremely difficult. We will be departing past high water and I would not recommend the short-cut over the shallows. I am therefore, reluctantly going to cancel this afternoon's excursion. However, the event at ESSC to raise money for Sail4Cancer will still go ahead and is worth supporting. For those so inclined, would anyone like to join Frances and myself in a cross-coutry walk to Emsworth. Plan would be to meet in car park, next to Spring Arts centre in Havant to depart at 13:00. No need to post here, but we will depart at 13:00Origilnal Plan
Emsworth Slipper Sailing Club are holding another "Tea on the Quay" event where they will be selling home made cakes along with teas and coffees. THe purpose ofthe event is to raise funds for the charity "Sail 4 Cancer"
Plan would be to depart Langstone 13:00 but Michael will depart earlier in a galley with crews listed as galley 1, he is looking for a longer row before meeting up at emsworth.
