Club Members' Training on Saturdays....

Mike Gilbert
In response to the Survey carried out earlier in the year, there have been a request for regular training for Club Members in a number of aspects of Rowing;  Coxing; Planning and Running an Excursion Row.

Because to Covid restrictions, it will be necessary for any structured training to be in small groups - no more than 4 at a time - and with appropriate dry-side and water-side changes to meet Covid Regs.

We plan to run a 'Pilot' Competent Cox Course in 2 weeks time to test Covid SOP and Protocols for this. We already have some volunteers and will report back, but the plan is:

* Every other Saturday based at Northney (or Langstone depending on tides);
* Dates include: 17th (Pilot) and 31st October 14th November and 28th November.
* Courses identified in teh survey were: Competent Cox; Stroke Improvement; Planning and Running an Excursion Row;
* Each course will have some theory, some practical on the water work and a follow-up review.

If anyone is interested let me know?

So as not to clog up the Forum, perhaps you can you email me mike@langstonerowing.co.uk.

Cheers,

Mike

Hi Mike,

Thanks for this. I would like to do some stoke improvement e.g. getting power into the whole stroke.
Unfortunately I can only do the last date in Nov (28th) though.

Regards,

Alan
