Hi all,
Please could you all meet at the Marina at 9 to row the three Cutters boats round from the pontoons ( the Celtic is on berth F19 and Galleys F17 ) to the beach for a 9.30 am launch. Our coxes will be at the coxes briefing at 9.30 and will meet you at the boats after that. It would help if Crew1 bring Sweare Deep round and meet Tim as their first race is in that boat at 10. Please stay until the end and help row the Cutters boats back to Langstone I have decided to reorganise things into 3 squads of six as there are 9 races allocated to the Cutters and this way each squad gets 3 races and each rower gets at least two races. Here are the crews and their race times and boats. Please could the crew captains collect £10 from each rower and give it to Mike. Could you also decide who rows in each race. LCRC have been given Berths F17 (2 x Galleys) and F19 (Celtic) to store boats on Friday/overnight. Please bring fenders for double banking. The Regatta Plan is here.
RANDOM_REGATTA_PLAN_-_March_19_2022.pdf This may be subject to late variations on the day... as Covid is still taking people out with regular abandon... Timing: 1: 08.00 is meeting to help set-up (for those who can). 2: 09.30 is the coxswains briefing 3: first race is away at 10.00. There are 36 races planned in just over around 3 hours of racing - so races start every 5 minutes. With 6 kinds of boats, every Club should be able to row every boat type. Every rower should get a minimum of 2 races. Please pay attention to your rowing captains and stay together in your crews... or the timing goes 'out the window'... As well as 3 Galleys; 3 Celtics; 3 Bursledon Gigs; 3 St Ayles Skiffs; 3 Quads (sliding-seat coxed 4's) there are 4 x Pilot Gigs - so just enjoy the variety! Forecast is sunny but a brisk Easterly wind, which will make the start and buoy turn interesting! Parking is free but tight, and with it being a sunny day the Cafe will be busy, so please cycle or car-share if you can. Do not parkin the Roundhouse Residents area you will be clamped! . There will be Cakes and Tea somehow plus a raffle with lots of lovely prizes - so being some cash!- the Saundersfoot Squad are raising money for a CoxBox! Toilets are limited and a 5 -minute walk away - so pace yourself!! There is a collection for Ukraine refugees - particularly children's clothing, toiletries and nappies so on... Can you please pool your £10 Regatta fee and pay in one LCRC payment by BACS or cash on the day... Mike |
