Dell Quay SC Rowing Section training in Claydons

Chris Partridge
Administrator
I am running some training sessions for cox’ns to prepare them for the arrival of their brand new Celtic Longboat in the spring. The committee has kindly agreed to allow us to use a Claydon for this purpose.
The first sessions will be on Feb 22 and 29, by which time Langstone Lady will be back after her refit. It is possible Mabel will also be serviceable again with the new rowlock sockets Geoff has ordered, so the chances of clashing with the Cutters’ need for boats for excursion rows will be minimised I hope.
When Dell Quay’s boat is delivered there will be three Celtic Longboats in the harbour, which sounds like an excuse for a series of regattas...

That’s a very kind offer Mark but I understand we have a boat full of aspiring cox’ns already. I will let you know if we need more expertise and manpower.

Chris,  sorry,  I misunderstood,  thought you were looking for support on 22nd. Have now re read.  All the best with your work with Dell quay.  As this conversation seems to be veering towards Cox training also for langstone rowers,  I would be very happy to take people out to show good practice and methods.
