Hi Lynn,
The website is saying we pay one or two days before when they are sure the weather conditions are safe for the event to go ahead. - I keep checking too as I don't want to get this one wrong too!! ![]() |

Lynn, payment is to be made 1-2 days before once final decision made, to avoid 120 refunds. It does say that on the mailout, but perhaps a bit buried!

Please can I have 2 or 3 volunteers to help me and Colin get Sweare Deep out of the boat park on Saturday morning, I suggest about 9.00am. Colin please advise if you want us there earlier/later, we need to be at Emsworth after 9.30am. Then at the end of the event 2 or 3 volunteers to get her back in the boat park.
Thank you |
I can help both ends ( be ideal if I can get a lift with the boat to save trying to park, if poss) Jo

Latest information regarding organisation for the day, I think it is similar to what was posted originally.
We have 7 clubs competing, LCRC, CRAC, Emsworth, Bosham, CYC, Dell Quay and Slipper. Unfortunately, Itchenor can't make it. Please ensure that every participant brings personal buoyancy and your club brings TWO VHF Radios that can tune to channel P4. The reason for two VHF radios is that one will be for race control to speak to cox of boat. The second is to ensure each club's captain is aware when to muster each crew on the pontoon to prepare for the races. The outline schedule for Day will be:- 08:30 to 09:30 Visiting Clubs arrive by road and launch boats at bottom of South Street, place road trailers in Club Car Park and row boats to conservancy pontoon and tie up all boats. ESC, please row round and tie up on conservancy pontoon. The GATE CODES on PONTOON are Top C3849 Bottom 3849 Pre-race Food will can be purchased from the Club Function Room for those who indicated they wanted to order such at time of payment. We will have complimentary tea and coffee available. 10:30 Crew /Course Briefing Times of races (50 minute window to get from pontoon to start, run race and return to pontoon) 11:00– Announce Open Crew to be at pontoon to row to start for 11:15 Open Race start 11:50 – Announce Women crews to be at pontoon to row to start 12:05 Women’s Race start 12:15 High Water 12:40 – Announce Mixed crews to be at pontoon to row to start 12:55 Mixed Race start 13:30 Mixed race crews row from finish line to beach to trailer up 14:00 Soup and bread available in Function Room.
