Eastney Cockleshell Challenge - Sat 15th June - replies asap please

Another excellent event coming up on the calendar. Eastney Cruising Association are holding their annual Cockleshell Challenge on the 15th June.

This is a challenging 7 mile Solent race, in honour of the Cockleshell Heroes, from Eastney Cruising Association (ECA) along Southsea sea front and back via the Solent Forts. It is a handicapped race where we are up against Cornish Pilot Gigs, Burseldon Gigs, Celtic Longboats and Skiffs.

The ECA has a fantastically located, professionally run clubhouse with full facilities including galley (open for breakfast and lunches) and (discounted) bar.

Please note that numbers of boats per club may be restricted this year due to a limit on the number of trailers Eastney can have in their compound so we may be limited to three boats ( but I'm really hoping I can find a way not to be!) . If we are oversubscribed I will give priority to people who row regularly with the club and also choose stronger rowers for a  couple of race crews.

Please post as soon as possible if you are interested in taking part as the deadline for boat entry payments is Monday 20th May so I need a good idea of numbers by then!

Yes please for me! To echo Lynn - if there's space.
Equally happy to be a delivery / retrieval rower to and from the club if that is required to negate the trailer space issue.
Many thanks.

Yes please.
By the way, you know there’s a public access park right next to the ECA! Should be fine for this occasion as is under the eye of the neighbours, though not recommended for overnight or longer stays. Has own slipway (but with no direct tow winch) so we can at least get the boat down to the water without troubling the ECA.
There are at least 2 other workable options.
