Fareham Creek Regatta Weekend 14/15 July

We have been invited to participate in Fareham Creek Regatta organised by Fareham SMBC on the weekend of 14/15 July. It is a very informal series of races between two four-oared boats borrowed from the Sea Scouts next door.

The event starts on Saturday at 11.00 and continues until 14.00. There is a party in the evening.
On Sunday, gig racing continues with playoffs and the championship races, starting at about 13.30 and finishing around 15.30.
I have offered to take a Solent galley to show them what real rowing is all about and so we can have a bit of fun when not racing. We can do some taster rows if demand is there.
So...who is up for a bit of competition? The organisers are particularly keen for more ladies crews to enter. If you would like to go, post below!

Hi Chris, i am working till 13:00 on sat in waterlooville , do you think i can manage to take part for sat. i am available for Sunday for definite

Sadly I don’t think this is going to work with too few for Saturday and nobody for Sunday so let’s knock it on the head. Next year perhaps.
I will organise another excursion row up Fareham Creek later on in the year.
