Hello,
We are hoping to take two galleys as there will be insufficient time to launch and recover a Claydon before dark. Taking crew strength into account we will ONLY be taking two galleys.
Safety update.
Please note that in the last four weeks, data provided by weather station Cambermet confirms that water temperature has dropped from a peak of 19 c to 13 c in just four weeks. Mean average Air temperatures have also dropped from around the 22C mark to 12C in the same time.
Accordingly, it is recommended that you have a life preserver with you for this row and that we take a grab bag in each boat , plus a fully charged radio in each boat.
If we can meet at 15.00 sharp to prepare the boats, we should be able to launch around 15.15
The forecast is suggesting Easterlies, hence we may be able to make a quick round trip to Ferry Boat.
Sun set is a few minutes before six and high water is at 17.20, hence we will be returning by 18.00.
Because this will be a shorter than average excursion row and it will be getting dark by the time we return, i dont want to take a Claydon because they take an hour to launch and recover and i want to avoid putting one back on it's mooring in the dark.
Please sign up in the usual way.
Thanks, Best
Andy
