Great River Race 2025 - Saturday 20th Sept - URGENT Coxes needed!

Hi all,
We do not currently have enough experienced coxes for a fourth Great River Race crew. If you would be prepared to cox for a crew of newer members to enable them to experience the race ( I'm sure we could avoid you having to pay in this case ) or would like to row and cox please post below.

Would love to do this race in a Claydon going for the trophy again (as a row/cox), but if that’s not available I’m happy to cox or row/cox a newbie team in whatever boat…whatever’s needed to help the club.

Done the Head of the River ….. and river coxing game is about the boats behind as well the boats in front
With ‘no overtaking under the bridge arches’ – in a disadvantageous position giving water 'until both boats are clear through the arch’ losses time.
The game is coming out of the bridges and maintaining a position to enter next without being overtaken on entry - over your shoulder with stroke / cox dialogue info.
Also standard practice maintaining course without obstructing faster overtaking boats and the '2m between oars’

Hi Rachel
I'm available for GRR this year. Am happy to row/cox.
I've taken part in GRR 10 times rowing/coxing in Thames skiffs/ Thames Cutters and gigs.
