Following Keith's post about the Cork and Morbihan events next year, which are on the same dates, we have looked at the numbers interested in each event and the committee have agreed that we will take three boats to Cork and two to Morbihan.
We will be taking the two Solent Galleys to Morbihan as it is a traditional boat festival and the other boats to Cork as it is a race with handicaps based on the Great River Race system.
We still need to do a risk assessment for Morbihan when the program for the rowing flotilla is announced to make a final decision about safety.
With two boats we have space for the eighteen people who have expressed an interest so far with 4 days rowing and 2 rest days each.
