Hamble River Raid Preparation and Arrangements (17/05 - 19/05)

Dave M
Can all Hamble River Raid entrants please note the below arrangements for this Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

Friday 17th May 19:00
Can all HRR crew members who are available, please come to the boat park please to help put all the boats on trailers and then retire to the Oak.

Saturday 18th May 08:15
Meet at boat park and attach trailers to vehicles and then set off for Hamble Point Marina. Post code for the Marina is SO31 4NB.
For those travelling directly, can you please go to the marina, as opposed to Hamble village, as we will need all hands to unload the boats and row them down to the start.

Towers are as follows:
James - Clayton
Nigel - Clayton
Phil - Teifi / Dartmouth Gig (on Teifi double trailer)
Steve - Galley
Dave - Galley

Racing starts at 11:45, which is earlier than the past few years.

Sunday 19th May 11:00 (Open Row)
Can all HRR crew members who are available, please come to the boat park to unload the Galleys, Dartmouth Gig and Teifi. One of the Galley's will then be available for the Open row and the other will be rowed round to Langstone Sailing Club to take part in their "Push the Boat Out" day.
The current plan is to leave the Clayton's on trailers in readiness for the Morbihan trip.

The above times might change so please keep your eye on this post for updates.

Thanks for all the efforts organising and readying. I will be able to help Sunday morning. I am still stuck at work till 10pm Friday in London so this is purely to let Clayton cox know I will go straight to Hamble Point on Sat morning (unless advised otherwise). anyone want a lift from Emsworth or Langstone please get in contact, with clear instructions, otherwise I'll go straight there. thanks Ben

Thanks everyone for all your help in preparing, unloading, reloading and unloading again all the boats. It seemed to be very seamless and quick this year. A special big thanks for the towers.

Also a well done to Katie, Shanaz and Julia in Lottie and to Jackie, Tom and Marilyn in the Dartmouth Gig for winning their races.

Full results are on the HRR web-site: http://www.hambleriverraid.org/index.php/results

Cheers

Dave
