Hope on the horizon .... volunteer coxes needed

Dear members,

British rowing's latest guidance is cautiously hopeful that it will be possible to start rowing coxed fours from the 15th August. Your committe are working towards that and putting a plan in place to make it as safe as we possibly can.

It looks as if the guidance will be that the cox needs to wear both a mask and a full face visor.  It also seems highly likely that we won't be changing places in the boats except perhaps at a prearranged landing point.  Please could you post below if you would be prepared to cox rows under these conditions. We are going to need volunteers to help get us back on the water.

Looking forward to seeing you all on the water again soon,

Your rowing captains,
Rachel and Dave

Hi Rachel and Dave, I am willing to Cox under Covid conditions. I am down in Cornwall at the moment and for your information, the gig clubs expect the CPGA to authorise gig rowing from 29 August. More information will be published in the CPGA Weekly Update tomorrow (Sunday). John
