Midweek row - week commencing 4th Sept

This post was updated on .
Hi All,
I'm down to organise the midweek row next week.

A difficult one, as you are all up to your rowlocks with GRR training at the moment anyway and seem to be grabbing every opportunity to be on the water.

Friday is out as the boats travel up to Millwall on that day.
Thursday no doubt you'll be loading up onto trailers ?

So lets say Wednesday, nice lunchtime tide.

Meet at 10 AM

Please post names....gentle Emsworth row which I will cox. Rabid GRR rowers can do their own thing independently of this row provided they leave us the 3 boats detailed under
update mabel is in use....so only 6 places.
We will take any/all of 2 x teifis and a Claydon

Boats not going to the GRR are the two teifi's and Mabel. So they could be used earlier in the week.  I presume GRR people will take a break to prepare sustained energy for Saturday.  But there are club members that are not going, who might like a row. So suggest a gentle row somewhere like Emsworth if the tides suit.  Christine

Hi Andrew

Sorry to upset any plans but Mabel is being used by the supervets on Wednesday 6th at 10.30am for a final claydon practice for GRR.

However she is free on Monday or Tuesday morning if that helps.

All good wishes
Richard

I think Langstone lady will still be available as the Claydon is not. Just watch out for the post that tells us when the boats will be loaded and readied to go.

Hi Andrew

I just wondered if you might be kind enough to bring Mabel in for us tomorrow (Wed) as you are meeting at 10.00am and we are meeting at 10.30.  You will probably have rowed off before we get there and we would rather not use the salter skiffs as they have been prepared for the GRR.  Mabel could be left tied to a fence post for 10 minutes till we arrive.

Many thanks
Richard

No problem Richard - I'm sure our paths are going to cross anyway....I expect 10 is slightly early to meet but I've done it now..

Hi Andrew,

Afraid that I've come down with a cold and won't be able to row today. I would normally row through it but am involved in running a music festival on Friday, Saturday and Sunday and have to rest up a bit and pray that it will pass as we are working 15 hours a day at the weekend.

Wishing you all a good one.

Best & Yours
Andy
