Mon 31st March Row - Update

Weather looks nice for next week so does anyone fancy a row Monday lunchtime? Meet at 1215, row up and down the harbour, maybe pop in The Royal Oak on our return?

It’s fantastic that so many want to row tomorrow, weather looks good. I think I have convinced my wife to have a go, so that looks like there will be 20/21 of us. So I propose we take SD, Lady and Sally plus a tiefe. So I will be looking for volunteers for the tiefe. Target is Verner and back but we can adjust if we need to.

I am coming straight from work but should be there by 12.15 pm.

Not sure if I am able to sign up yet, but just a note for Vernon……
…..do you intend doing a short row? The HW is at 1245 I think, so 12:15 start (a) would be a difficult launch on our concrete slope, due to spring tides ( 5.0m at launch time of 12:15),
and (b) we can still easily get back ashore until about 3pm, but on a fast dropping tide.
An earlier departure and earlier return would be easier ( 11:00 to 1400, -just a suggestion).

Oops! Yes Vernon I’d not added the hour on to gmt…… you are still going to be a bit high on the beach for launching….but at least the return should be easier if just late enough.  (Less of an uphill slog, and not losing the dolly at the base of the slope).
