Mon 6th Aug. Double Tide row to East Head

Would anyone like to repeat the wonderful East Head picnic row we did a couple of weeks ago? The plan would be as follows:-

Date Monday 6th August

08:00 meet Langstone  to depart by 08:15
Row to East Head on falling tide
09:30 (approx) arrive East Head and beach boats
Spend Day at East Head for games, swimming, barbie, sports etc.
15:30 Depart East Head on rising tide
17:00 (approx) arrive at Langstone

Sorry it can't be scheduled at weekend, but tides are optimum on Monday. The weather outlook is warm to hot, no rain,  and a light SW wind to blow us home. However, if the weather takes a turn for the worse, then most wont want to spend a day on the beach, so watch this post.

If you would like to come, please post what food to share and games you could bring.

If you have not been to East Head before, there are extensive sand flats, ideal for games and there are wonderful white sand dunes to walk amongst. The swimming is  good and the harbour waters very warm.

Yes would be great if you can get the numbers
I could bring a throw away bar-b-q with burgers,buns and a few condiments
or chicken drumsticks/onion bargees etc
whatever but i would need to know sunday night
(i would take the throw away bar-b-q home)

James,  thanks for your very kind offer.  At the moment,  we don't have rough people signed up even for one boat,  so the event may not go ahead.  I will check Sunday morning,  if not enough takers,  I will cancel.
