I was asked today if we could have a waterproof jacket with the club logo , so I'm interested if other members are keen on this idea before we go any further , obviously price would be a factor to suit everyone's budget .
Another idea would be a 'Bum bag ' style bag for those summer months when we don't need to carry quite as much . Be greatful for some feed back please on both these ideas , Post away ! Cheers Dee |

Hi Dee,
My few pennies worth to this would be to think of the cox as well as the rowers. The hood on the Kukri one flips back easily in the wind, and it channels the rain down the front! So one with more frontal protection would be good. Sailing ones have a flap you can pull across on a velcro, so might be useful as you could pull it across when not addressing the crew as cox! There are plenty off good hood designs out there. The plus of the Kukri is that it does have a long back like a cyclists one, so you do not get an exposed rear when when you lean forward for the catch! Zipped pockets are also good as things do not fall out.....into the water or fill up with water! Also it should not be too bulky so it fits into a reasonable sized bag along with your other essentials! Personally I'd rather pay for something that does the job! Many thanks, Alan |
