Picnic Row to Portchester Castle Weds July 4

Marilyn and I are collaborating on the next mid-week row, to Portchester Castle for Afternoon Tea. I am doing the boring rowing admin and Marilyn is organising the really important stuff, viz: the FOOD.
High water on Weds is at 16.20 (4.3m) and the weather is forecast to be warm, a little overcast with light breezes. We will meet at Langstone at 13.30 so we can get the boats on the water at the earliest possible opportunity. We should arrive at Portchester at around 15.00. I expect we will be back at the Mill by 18.00.
Please post with an indication of what you would like to contribute to the picnic. Possibilities include wafer-thin cucumber sandwiches, scones, cream, jam, strawbs and so on. If we all bring something different we will have a great spread.
Also bring something to drink, such as a flask of tea/coffee. You can bring prosecco if you insist but please bring plastic glasses to go with it.

In true Cutters fashion I am going to post that I CANNOT do this row due to previous committments, and I am not happy about it ! I seem fated never to do it.

Hooray I can do it as it is a p.m. start.   As I am coming straight from school in Havant, I will buy scones and cream and bring some jam.  Sue

As another stalwart Cutter has noted:-  {In true Cutters fashion I am going to post that I CANNOT do this row due to previous committments, and I am not happy about it ! }
But at least I have been once or twice before......but that just makes me more envious!!!!
Have a great time one and all!
