The Met Office and the BBC predict clear skies and light airs for Thursday night, when the moon is near full and HW is at 2030, which would be ideal for a moonlight row.
Unfortunately XC Weather and WindGuru are forecasting overcast skies and even a bit of rain.
So if you are interested make a note to meet on Thursday at 1800 for a moonlight row down harbour followed by beer in the Oak, but keep an eye out for updates.
See how your numbers work out, as would like to come along but have the grandkids in afternoon not sure what time to, but hopefully get away by 5.30
So if you have enough I understand so I can be the one thats the floater if that helps
Well, the weather forecast remains slightly confusing with the Met Office now showing some cloud cover with XC Weather and Wind Guru showing fully overcast conditions. The BBC is now the outlier, predicting clear skies. I wish they would get their stories aligned.
I feel the the wise course is to cancel, mainly because if the skies are clear when we meet we will be tempted to go out and then have to feel our way back when the clouds roll in. So it’s off this time - sorry. Let’s hope for better weather next time.
Certainly lovely clear skies now... crisp and bright moon..
