Puffin Island race - Anglesey 30th May

Dear rowers
Two years ago a small band of us borrowed a Celtic Longboat and rowed the Puffin Island race which is hosted by Beaumaris Rowing Club on Anglesey.  This is their description of the race "The crews will row from the historic town of Beaumaris, along the scenic Menai Strait, around the majestic Puffin Island and back through the challenging Puffin Sound to return to Beaumaris."  It is a 10 mile race and even at slack tide it's a tough row but the scenery is stunning and so are the birds ( I don't think watching Puffins improved our final result much! ).
This year we have our own Celtic Longboat so we thought we should take a crew. You are not allowed to change places during the race so we need a cox and four rowers. Most of the boats entered are Celtic Longboats but if we are oversubscribed we could take a Teifi too as there were a couple entered last year.

Please post below so that we can gauge the level of interest.

Hi Rachel,

If you are looking for an experienced cox, I would happily oblige as its a long old drive for someone to undertake and not to row. I've also had a good look at the area and the formidable tidal flows.
Finally, I wonder whether we could provide overnight accommodation for a number of the crew.

Beaumaris is just under and hour an a half drive from our place, and there is a variety of parking available up here.

07407 734609 - More than happy to assist and it would be great to see you guys.

Best
