Rescuing Mabel today please

Mabel blown off her mooring last night and washed up on the shore by Wade Court lane... can we have all who can help to meet an hour before HW today to help bale her out and get her back please? meet at say 13.00 at the Mill...

Please note she is actually at the bottom of Pook Lane... swamped and bit bedraggled, oars present; flooring supports broken, but the hull looks sound... tough old boat! will need hand pumps.

If we want to trailer her out it would have to be via Pook Lane...

I am working in The Skiff Factory this morning... but will come back for 12.00

Debbie , me and Daphne are taking some buckets, pumps and syphon piping over there now as part of our dog walk.

...and Daphne's pumps helped pump out the water!

For information -since no on e else has posted (yet) ----Mabel* is now on her trailer at Colin's.
-and the Bosun is even more GrXXXY than usual, 'cos he can see lots of 'oles - mostly where they shouldn't be!

* was Mabel grumpy at not being blest yesterday? Is that why she went walkabout??!
    -or was it related to the magic number 977 ?

To be accurate the work was all done by Christine and Marcus before Daphne and team got there, and her pumps were not needed.

Had to go home & open a bottle of "Gamay".
Feeling a little better now.
