Hi all,
Please bring lots and lots of water, suncream, hats, and gloves if you get blisters, as although it is a bit cooler tomorrow it will still be hot rowing. Please also bring a lifejacket each, take a radio and a flag for each boat.
I dont mind which Galley you take, you choose, but please don't try to use the carbon oars with pink sleeves and yellow collars which are in Marilyn's barn as these are the old SWeare Deep oars and are much too long inboard for the Galleys. There is one set of decent but scruffy carbon macons in one of the Galleys or a set of carbon hatchets in the barn if you prefer.
Good luck!! See you there as I'm helping with the timing.
Apologies this is late but I've been on my hols. Here are the details of the event and timings
Round Hayling DetailsThis year High Tide is 11:30 and the first boats start at 10, the Celtic at 10:20 and the Galley at 10:30.
So it should be Ok to launch at 9.15 or as soon as possible after that and row over. A cox from each boat needs to go over to attend the 9.30 briefing but you should be OK to row over with three rowers.
Good luck!
Rachel
