SATURDAY Excursion row - CANCELLED

Hi All

I really am so very sorry to have to cancel yet another Saturday row, but the weather is beyond us all.

Strictly on safety grounds, we are looking at a F 5/6 ENE bitterly cold wind gusting 7/8 and with a wind chill predicted of up to MINUS 6 degrees Celsius, it simply wont be safe to be on the water.

We could tuck ourselves in the corner between the mill pond and the Saltings for an hour or so but in my view it simply isn't worth risking being in a boat in these conditions and given that water temperatures are so low as well.

This is so frustrating for us all.

We were so lucky throughout the past couple of winters and rarely had to cancel.

This winter has been hard work and I'm hoping that this is the last of the cold spells.
