Saturday Jan 31st row and lunch

RichardThrift
As this is the last day in January and we have all been trying to be good after a splendid Christmas we have moved the rowing to a much better start time to ensure you can all keep fit and trim and lose those few little pounds from last year's festivities. So we launch at 11'oclock at Northney Marina and row down to HISC for a nice lunch and refreshments at the Piranha Bar. We will be using the Galleys so numbers are important . Maximum 12 people. Take layers of clothing and waterproofs just in case, weather will be typical for this time of year. Should be good fun and I expect we could have a steaming coffee at the Royal Oak on our return--or a beer if you prefer!!
See you all on Saturday
Richard
ps. many thanks to Chris Partridge for helping out.

Just to confirm that I will be coming and to say that we should meet AT THE MILL AT 10.30 so we can get the boat down onto the foreshore for towing round to Northney. Please don't go direct to Northney.

Unfortunately I have to cancel the rowing for tomorrow due mainly to the logistical problems of getting the Galley out of the water and on to the  trailer with only four able bodied people. After a long row in 18mph winds it is not feasible. Sorry to bring fellow rowers bad news but I think it is for the best. I cannot row myself as I have damaged my ribcage. If anyone wants to join Chris Partridge for a scull he will be going down in the morning. Looking forward to Spring soon, Kind regards
