THURSDAY row 16.00 with Chris Partridge.

Andy Mac
This post was updated on .
Hi All,

I have just been reminded by Wendy that we have double booked and that we have tickets for a live broadcast of " Virginia Wolf" which starts at 19.00 on Thursday evening in Chichester.

Sincere apologies for this oversight guys and huge thanks to Chris Partridge for very kindly offering to organise this one. Many and sincere thanks Chris.

Wishing you all a super row.

Best

Andy & Wendy

Thursday is currently looking like the best choice for this week and the current forecast suggests it will be dry and cloudy throughout with a F 3 WSW breeze.

Water temperature is curently around 12C and the wearing of life preservers is recommended.

The plan is to row down to HISC and to enjoy a picnic break on the sandy beach down there, so you might like to bring some goodies along.

It's not the biggest of tides and we will need to be back by 19.30 to be on the safe side and to imbibe BEER in the Oak thereafter.

Please sign up in the usual way and please add what you intend to bring foodwise so that we can put together a good variety.

Thanks, Best
Andy

Will do Sue.

We will keep an eye on the weather foreast before we commit to making or buying food, because its pretty unsettled this week and looking at the charts the current forecast for Thursday is too good to be true.
Fingers crossed though.

Re: THURSDAY row 16.00 for Picnic @ HISC & Beer at The Oak

Hi All,

I will check the weather forecast tomorrow, but it currently is look reasonably stable , sunny and fine.

So we should be ok to have a pit stop on the sandy beach at HISC.

There is no place as such to sit down and have an elaborate picnic as such and there is a sandy beach and there are loos in the sailing club.

I was purely thinking of some fun snacky foods to share around when we arrive, such as the finest possible cucumber sandwiches for Mr P to judge, quiche, dips, sausage rolls, cake, mini flap jacks, cookees and anything simple and light.

Weather update to follow on Wednesday afternoon.

Hi Andy, had to go to the docs today and it seems I have a chest infection so cannot row. Cheryl will still row but if you can fit me in as passenger or cox then I can join you. Don't worry if numbers don't suit that, I can always wait at The oak. All the best ~ Ron

THURSDAY row 16.00 for Picnic @ HISC & Beer at The Oak.

Andy Mac
Hi Ron

Sorry to hear that.

Yes I'm sure that we can figure something out, no problem.

HISC is a good long row as you know , so it may be better for you to come as passenger, as fellow crew will likely want to change sides and to sit out for twenty minutes etc.

Either which way, we can sort something.

Get well soon you and i'll see you Thursday.

Best

I will be accompanied by Tom, a sculler based in Northney, who wants to see our very smart new carbon fibre oars.

Hi Andy.

I'd like to do this if possible. I'm a newbie but rowed back to Milton and and back a few weeks ago and the Ferryman last week so I think I should be OK?

If we go ahead I'll rustle up a few rounds of salmon and cucumber on brown!

Hi Mike,
I'm sure that you'll be fine having done
