Now the clocks have gone back it's time to flex our muscles and get a little fitter for Autumn & really enjoy the fresh air.
So we meet on Wednesday 11.45am at Langstone Mill.
FYI it is expected to be 11'C, WSW 11mph with possibility of light rain. High tide is 13.03 at 5.2 Metres
So we will go for a one to one and a half hour row round the harbour in Emsworth (depending on the weather) and back to the Royal Oak for coffee and light bite.
Gail & I welcome you aboard to join in the fun.
Suggest dress code of several layers with waterproofs, snacks and drinks.
Hi Rachael, No problemo as 12 noon is the likely time we will get the boats in the water. If others prefer 12 noon due to their work/domestic schedules we will move the start time anyway, as the tide looks very high, so we won't have a problem getting back. Will keep you posted

Me please! Also is it ok with everyone else if I bring my daughter Polly along. She has rowed a couple of times on club rows but not been out on a longer row. She is home for just a couple of weeks and would love to have a trip out.
Hi Marion,
I thought I had replied to your request but lo & behold the wonders of technology has failed me. Your daughter is welcome but in case the weather is a little rough and as safety is paramount we may have to ensure she goes as a passenger. It is important also that we have very experienced rowers as the weather forecast has somewhat worsened. Luckily the tide is high--sounds like a record---so we can visit the local harbour more than we have been able to do recently without going too far out to sea, & we can swap boats.
Sorry this is long winded but needed to get the point across.
Should be a fun time.
All the best
Rich
Hi Marilyn,
Look forward to seeing you at the Mill--we will probably go for 12 noon rather than 11.45.
Mike Gilbert may come as well so we will have a good number for a couple of galleys.
see you soon
Rich
....I'll aim for 11-45. That way I should be there for 12-00! Hope it brightens up as predicted, but the wind will probably make the return journey more of a slog than the outward leg!
Cheers
Nigel.
